TaxedUp opened its doors in a full-time capacity in 2012 when we realised that there was a big demand for effortless tax solutions for busy professionals. Today the business has five full-time tax practitioners that cover all aspects of income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and Pay as you Earn (PAYE), as well as related financial services such as bookkeeping, monthly payroll, and any other financial reporting
services.

Our director has over a decade worth of experience in the South African tax industry. This includes four years working for the South African Revenue Service (SARS), where he was able to learn the processes from the inside out and further his studies in this complex field. These opportunities equipped him with priceless knowledge and know-how in all SARS tax fields, including VAT, PAYE, income tax, as well as the basics of customs.
After the growth and experience garnered at SARS, he made a calculated career move and joined a successful accounting firm. This provided him with the opportunity to diversify his experience and learn the practical applications of the various tax acts as it pertains to business, placing him in the unique position to provide what is required by law, while simultaneously applying the requirements to the advantage of businesses and individuals.
More than 100 happy business clients & counting!
The practice started in 2011. One satisfied client led to another and the business grew from strength to strength as a result of a happy client base, and through positive word of mouth. By 2012 it was no longer practical to provide all of these services on a part-time basis, and so it became a full-time enterprise. TaxedUp was born!
Since then, the TaxedUp client base has continued to grow exponentially. In 2013 the business offering was expanded to include company tax on all levels. This has since grown to where TaxedUp manages the financial affairs of over 100 companies on a monthly and daily basis, not to mention our extensive individual client base.
